Well, the last couple of weekends I have been wanting to do nothing but stay at home. This weekend I have not accomplished that at all! I did have a great weekend though.
On Friday - I got some bills paid (YUCK!) I hate giving away my money! But then I picked up Brenn and we went to Wal-Mart. There I developed over 100 pictures off of various memory cards for my new project (more on that in a minute). Then we had dinner at Chili's. We don't eat at Chili's very often - by that I mean maybe once a year! Anyway, food was good. Desert was AWESOME and the company of my son was SO MUCH FUN! We talked and joked and laughed the entire time. No pulling teeth for conversation - It was CRAZY GOOD!
Very sadly after that I took Brenn home and then went home and watched a hilarious movie. To bad I didn't get to see the end of it. It was a rental and the end was so scratched that we couldn't watch it. (That has happened with the last 3 movies I have rented - huh!) Then it was bed time.
Saturday - I got to watch Zeta and Nakomus's first basketball game. 5 and 6 year olds are so much fun to watch playing basketball! After that I ran a few errands and then met my mom and Mimi for lunch at Red Lobster. (I have been craving Red Lobster for months now)! Lunch was very good and with good company.
Then it was to Hobby Lobby I went. And yes, I took pictures of merchandise in the store that I would like to start a new project with. But then I also purchases some random pack of scrapbooking paper for my current project (remember the pictures)..........YES! I have decided that while I am working graveyards I can help pass the time. Instead of snacking and watching late night tv - I am going to work on my scrapbooking. I put 3 pages together last week - so fun!
I then spent the entire rest of my day getting BEAT in MARBLES by SCOTTY!!!! Let me tell you, Scotty has the luck of being able to call numbers from where ever NUMBER LAND is and bringing them to the table just in time. (My sister can testify to this I am sure). He won like 10 stinkin games! Not like slaughtering my mom and I - but like everyone only had 1 marble left. Every trying to get home while stopping thier opponent...like a true fight to the finish......and EVERY TIME - Scotty would call the exact number he needed and ROLL IT! UGH! My mom won like 1 game. So, yes, dinner and about 11 games of marbles UGH! But I do have to say that I had so much fun. It was really a great time! Thanks Scotty and Mom for entertaining me. I will declair a rematch at some point just so you know.
Today, I attended Zeta's 7th birthday party. And now, I am going home to watch some Grey's Anatomy that I rented earlier in the week. Only 1 thing left to do - drive to Artesia to get Amber at like 10:30pm.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great week. Love you!
I LOVE kindergarden basketball games! I watch 2 every Saturday, and it puts a smile on my face every time! I am jealous (but glad) that you spent the afternoon playing marbles. There is really not much better things to do on a Sunday afternoon. But seriously, you have to beat Scotty next time! Don't let him always win - it will give him an even bigger head!
