When I worked at the Door Of Opportunity I met several wonderful people. One who is named Rebekah Ramos (Becky).
Since neither of us still work there (thank goodness) we really don't get to see each other. I enjoy Becky's company so much! We have decided to get together once a month and do a coffee date (although she doesn't drink coffee). But usually the 1st Saturday of the month we get together about 6:30 or 7:00am and just visit.
This is convienant for me because I take Amber to work at 6:30am and since Becky lives in Artesia I can just go straight there. It works. I think she gets up early these mornings but always seems delighted to see me.
Becky always makes something good to eat - the first time she made cinnamon rolls, and last week we had banana nut bread. I drink coffee and she drinks whatever. We usually sit and visit for about and hour and a half or 2 hours. I love this time with her. I am getting to know her more than just as a co-worker.
We show off pictures of our families and learn new things about each other. Sometimes we cry and we always have a laughing fit or two.
Becky - I love spending this time with you! It makes me wish my best friend lived here too. I know you guys would get along so well - but I am greatful (very greatful) that I have made a friend here that I just trully enjoy!
Thank you Becky for your friendship....and especially for your goodies. Becky makes the best homemade jelly - even my mom likes it. Also, she is a certified (by us) ICU plant nurse! Ha Ha. I recieved "Alma" my plant 3 years ago after my grandfather (Papaw) went to be with the Lord. I did very well caring for it the 1st year. The plant just thrived. But since we moved (almost 3 years ago) my plant just has not been happy. I have nursed it and nursed it. Sometimes it gets a little better but then always ends up looking like this.
So, Becky has very nicely taken Alma to nurse back to health! Good luck! I have total confidence in her!
Anyway, gotta rest before returning to work. Have a great day!
