On the last post I posted (a while ago) I left you hanging about all of the Christmas Magic within me. Needless to say, I enjoyed putting up my tree very much and had a great holiday season! I laugh to myself as I wrote that line because I enjoyed putting up my tree so much that I contemplated until Christmas Eve about putting up a second tree. That so did NOT happen - but I did think about it alot. Here is a picture of my tree:
JUST KIDDING! MY COMPUTER HAS CRASHED AND I HAVE NO WAY TO PUT THE PICTURES ON HERE! MAYBE I WILL FIGURE SOMETHING OUT IN THE END. OR YOU MIGHT JUST HAVE A BORING, NO PICTURE POST!
I finally finished my Mamaw's scrapbook - just in time to mail for Christmas. Do you think I mailed it? No. I waited until New Year's Eve to mail it. Ha! Anyway, she received it over the last weekend and called to say how much she enjoyed it. So, Thank You to everyone who helped contribute to that gift. It was wonderful!
Depsite having to work for the Holidays - I had such a great time! Nik, Carla, and Jaxen; Johnny, Jennifer, and the kids; and Joey, Karen, and the boys all came down for Christmas this year. So, I got to see alot of my family that I don't see very often. I spent most of the week at my mom's house. I enjoyed everyone so much. Even though Jaxen doesn't cuddle much anymore (Carla you were right) I loved spending time with him. Mom - thank you so much for all of the work you put in cooking, and planning, and taking care of so many people. Scotty, thank you for keeping perspective and keeping everyone on task and taken care of. I love having a place where we can all gather! I got to spend Christmas morning with the girls, Zeta, Nakomus, Kyli, and Liah! That was a lot of fun. Also, James (Amber's dad) came down to visit from Colorado Springs. We got to spend some time with him as well.
Brennen came home the weekend after Christmas. We spent alot of time together. We watched movies I hadn't seen in decades (of course he hadn't ever seen them) and a few new shows. We enjoyed several mornings making big breakfasts. I love making a big breakfast. We didn't do anything big for New Year's (of course I had to work). But we did get to enjoy a little snow towards the end of the week. That was nice.
Looking back, despite some challenges, 2012 was a good year for us. I don't have anything to complain about. I am not one for making a lot of resolutions for the new year - but I have a few I am am looking at. One I will mention is that I have been INFORMALLY THREATENED about my blogging habits. I was told by a certain someone that they "have been known to delete from thier list, blogs that are not kept current". Ha ha. So, Carla I dedicate this next blogging year to YOU!!!! May it be one filled much more with my random thoughts, rants, and raves!
Ha Ha! So glad you took my threat seriously! I was just thinking I need to update my blog list....good thing you posted something! Keep them coming. And Happy New Year!
