Easter Weekend

My Easter weekend started out by taking Brennen to meet Mamaw in Synder, TX. He is spending his Spring Break with her this year. All though I am kinda sad that he is not here I am very grateful that he is with her. I can remember when we used to go and stay for the week with Mamaw and Papaw. That was a special time and I want him to have that as well. We were counting it up and I think it has been about 4 years since Brennen has spent time with in Dublin “by his self”. I am so glad that Mamaw is still up to keeping him.

On Saturday, I drove to Artesia to take Amber to work. After returning home I went back to bed and slept until about 10am. I then laid in bed and watched television until about 2pm. I don’t get a chance to do this very often but I was exhausted. I am currently watching the show Parenthood. I usually don’t get too emotional but on this day I laughed out loud and shed tears. It was a very peaceful morning.

Saturday afternoon I ended up at my Mom’s. (I haven’t been over since the 16th and I really think Scotty was missing me! Ha Ha!) So, after catching up for only a few minutes, Scotty pulled out the Marbles! YUP! You guessed it. We then played Marbles until 9:30pm. This is standard for us. Once we get started keeping score……IT’S ALL OVER WITH. We don’t stop to the very last of our time is up. (I say as I chuckle to myself).

Easter Morning I took some special alone time to give Thanks to the Lord for such a reason to celebrate. Thanked him for allowing a way to be with not only Him but also with my Dad and Papaw again. I then lazed around until about 10am. After showering and dressing I left the house. I went and told the girls Happy Easter and then contemplated on the rest of my plans. Amber was at work and Brenn was in Dublin. I had several invites to Easter lunch but truthfully just didn’t really feel like being around a whole lot of people. Then it hit me……SPARKLING GRAPE JUICE. I knew I had to have it. To Wal-Mart I went. Upon walking in the door I saw all of the beautiful Easter flowers. It hit me at that moment. I wanted to take Easter flowers to EVERYONE! With bottle of sparkling grape juice in hand and some Easter bouquets I headed to Mimi’s house.

I got to spend some time with Mimi, Lindsey, and the kiddos. Aiden took right to me and the girls are just as sweet as always. I enjoyed visiting with them. Here are a few pictures.

Then I knew I had to sleep because I had to go to work later that night, so I made a short visit to my Mom’s and left her bouquet for her. Then home where I set up Amber’s Easter Candy Bouquet and then headed to bed. I slept till 9pm. I left to get Amber from work and then when we got home about midnight she and I had Easter dinner together. The end to a great day. Then off to work.
