Crafting

Something about this time of year just makes me wanna be really crafty and make lots of different things.

A few weeks ago, I accompanied my mom to Dollar Tree to purchase some cards. As we walked in I saw some very pretty fall flower bundles. I stopped and looked at them for a minute but then proceeded to the cards section. After picking out a few cards, I went in search of a fall tablecloth. I found the prettiest Butterfly instead. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to make something with it. So, I gathered a wreath, some fall leaves, the BUTTERFLY, and a flower bundle. Because we were at Dollar Tree this wreath cost me $4.00 plus tax. When we returned to my mom's she headed to the shower and asked what I was going to do. "MAKE A WREATH OF COURSE". After about 5 or so minutes I had a new fall wreath.

During the same trip to the Dollar Tree I found some paper ornaments that would work perfectly on this tree thing I bought at a rummage sale in Temple back in April. So, this weekend I fixed it up for the season. Here is how it turned out:
Because it sits in my dinning room I bought pumpkin pie scented candles to go at the end of each "branch". It looks awesome.

After I was done crafting for the day Brennen and I sat down and battled it out in a game of RISK!

  1. Awesome! I love the crafting...I have that bug too. Your fall wreath and tree turned out so cute. Risk, huh? I don't think I would remember how to even play that game.
