Just to catch up

I have been having a good experience at work. I touched base with all of the other companies I was waiting to hear from last week. They all filled the positions with someone else. BLAH! Anyway, I also got the chance to turn a job down. I had recieved two positions from 2 different companies. They were both the positions with caregiving for the disabled. I thought I might work both of them for a while. You know get caught up on some stuff and save up some money. But with my schedule at Tobosa it was going to be very hard. So, I chose to stay there and very graciously turned down Esperanza. That felt nice.

I work a split shift though. I work from 6am-9am. Then I am off (except when I have training). I go back to work at 3pm and work till 10pm. So, I am kinda trying to adjust to this schedule. It is not as easy or comfortable as it appears to be. At first I was like, "woo-hoo! I can go to work then get off and get all the stuff done that I need to. Then I can go back and finish working. You know, like a long lunch." Let me tell you that is NOT the case. But slowly I am adjusting.

On the 4th of July I had to work; so Brennen and I had lunch. We went to Wal-Mart quickly and then had lunch. After lunch we stopped for snow cones. We laughed and laughed throughout the day. We had a really great time. He is really pretty funny when he puts his defenses down. It is pretty sad to me that he has so many defenses at such a young age. But he is getting better about putting the draw bridge down when it is just the 2 of us. That is very nice.

Brennen seems to be having a good summer. He has declared himself, "A CHICK MAGNET".

Let me tell you....PUBERTY has begun. I am holding strong for now. I am defineatly learning as we go. I have come to understand that little girls are EVIL. Ha ha. I have to keep this in mind as I am asked to examine armpits for new hair or a top lip for darkening hair. I really do think this is fun.
